| At his home, the old brother thought, ‘my younger brother needs more rice than me because he got married a few months ago so spent lots of money. I will bring a sack of rice at his home in secret at night.’

| As night falls, the old brother carried some a sack of rice to his younger brother’s home in secret.

다음 날, 형은 쌀가마니의 수가 그가 동생의 집으로 한 개를 가져다 주기 전과 같음을 발견하고 깜짝 놀랐어요.
| The next morning, the old brother was surprised to find he still had the same number of sacks of rice as before he had brought one to his younger brother’s home.

“그것 참 이상하다. 분명 어젯밤 내 동생의 집에 쌀 한가마니를 가져다 놓았는데.” 그는 말하며 그의 가마니를 다시 세었어요.
| “That’s very odd. I’m sure I took a sack of rice to my younger brother’s home last night,” he said and counted his sacks again.
