THE TEAM

Jacques du Plessis was born and raised in South Africa. He studied at the University of South Africa and at the University of Pretoria, before coming to the USA, where he started the Afrikaans program at BYU in 1985. The materials developed for the BYU program are the basis for these Web-based courses. Jacques is delighted to be working on this site since his grandmother was buried in Mbala, Zambia.

Pemba Mwepu was born and raised in Zambia. She is a student in the Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at UWM and she is passionate about her language and culture. During the summer of 2009 Pemba will be doing research in Zambia to expand the offering of this site
