Website Mission

The mission of this website is to offer the best possible Bemba instruction for free to the international community.
The vision is to offer the contributions of mother tongue speakers (poems, stories, songs, humor, etc.) so that the learner may experience the language as spoken.
The hope is that learners and speakers will both be welcome on the website and will be involved to accomplish the following:
  • speakers help learners
  • sharing of experience with the culture and language
  • building of international frienships around the language
The long term goal is to address the needs of the following learners:
  • school children with a superficial interest
  • university students
  • any one with a personal interest in learning the language
Later this open course will network with universities to offer examinations for academic credit.
Lastly, this website aims to offer the sound of all its speakers. Should there not be adequate content from any region or group, it is so because appropriate material has not been found. No preference will be given to any person or persons because of their race, religion, or region of origin. New contributions will always be welcomed (written, sound, or video). Even controversial pieces may be placed, as long as it is suitable for a younger audience. In other words, no content depicting violence, hate speech, cussing, or below the belt talk will be considered.

Webwerf Missie
