In the Afrikaans sentence, the subject is first, the verb is second. The subject is the person or thing doing the action. So, if "John tracks the spy." or "The camera tracks the spy." then John or the camera are the subjects and 'tracks' is the verb. BTW, 'the spy' is called the object, the thing receiving the action.
